They have grown so much this year in mind and body. Have they seen the guns and armor at the Met in NY?. There is a huge display I had not seen before but my guess is the one they saw in France is larger. I am a little amazed about boys facination with guns etc. but it seems to be universal with them. When my son was that age and younger I wouldn't let him have guns until I realized it created a bigger desire than just letting him play with them some of the time and teaching him not to point them at his friends. I just finished "South of Broad" by Pat Conroy. It is about racism, unfortunately may be too old for them. I wasn't going to buy any more of his books because they all have child abuse in them. Thanks again. I had another thought - the Blanco Library tries to have special programs for kids during the summer. Maybe the boys could do some" one on one" Spanish tutoring or teaching Spanish to a small group. They could probably do their presentation again and have a more detailed session. There are quite a few homeschooled students in the community that would love to have this opportunity. There are many adults that would be interested in attending, too.
